Resources for Supporting Persons with Disabilities

This section provides resources for supporting persons with disabilities and their families.  This represents a progression from more general knowledge to specific information that can be helpful in the process.

Awareness – Supporting persons with disabilities and their families starts with awareness building around the issues that such families face.  Congregations can begin here in the learning process.

Education – Resources for educating the congregation, including persons with disabilities themselves.

Training – Sometimes knowing how to provide accommodations and assistance requires some specific training or orientation.

Gifts – Calling out the gifts of all God’s people is a key to full inclusion.
